Zoo Career Awareness Days

Is your child passionate about wildlife and interested in a career at the Zoo? Be sure to join us for one of our upcoming Career Awareness Days.

                                                    2019-2020 School Year

                                                         Saturday Jan 25th 2pm-4pm

This is a unique table event for elementary, middle, high school and college students to learn about Zoo careers.  Students will have the chance to meet one-on-one with Zoo staff from different areas of the Zoo who will recommend college programs, discuss how volunteering, interning, and related work experience can give you an edge over other students, and explain what they do in their day-to-day job duties.

The more you know about what positions exist at the Zoo, the easier it will be for you to plan your course of study and land that dream job!

In addition to the regular event where students will have the opportunity to speak with staff from all departments to learn about their job responsibilities and education/training path, this date will also provide:
*students ages 14 years and up can learn about our Zoo Teen volunteer program
*students ages 16 years and up will have the opportunity to learn about and apply for Seasonal           employment opportunities
*students ages 18 years and up can learn about our Internship opportunities

All Zoo Career Awareness Days will be held on Shaba Terrace above the front admission gates.

The events are FREE but registration is required.  Please CLICK HERE to sign-up.
